Flower Delivery in Hatay, Türkiye — Antakya & Iskenderun from Abroad

Where in Hatay flowers are sent

Hatay runs from the Amanos Mountains down to the Mediterranean and along the Syrian border. Antakya and Defne form the historic heart of the province; many orders from abroad are for parents and relatives who stayed here when the rest of the family moved to Europe, the Gulf or another Turkish city. Iskenderun is a port city with its own centre, seafront and hospitals, and together with Payas, Dörtyol and Erzin it makes up the northern side of the province, known for industry and citrus groves. Arsuz and Samandağ are the coastal districts where families gather in summer, while Kırıkhan, Reyhanlı and Altınözü are farming districts where a village name and a family name still help a florist find the right door.

Delivering in Antakya and Defne after the 2023 earthquakes

The February 2023 earthquakes destroyed much of Antakya and caused heavy damage in Defne, Iskenderun and other districts. As the city is rebuilt, streets have been cleared and redrawn, buildings named in older addresses may no longer stand, and many people live in container settlements, prefabricated housing areas or newly built housing, sometimes in a different neighbourhood or district from before.

A few details make a real difference:

• Check the recipient's current address with them, or with someone close to them, rather than using an address you have had for years.
• For a container or prefab area, write the settlement name, the block or row, and the container number.
• Always add a phone number the recipient actually answers. The florist may call to find the exact spot, and in Hatay a short call often solves what a missing street name cannot.
• If your relative has moved to another city since 2023, you can send to them there; we deliver to all 81 provinces.

If the florist cannot locate the address, we get in touch with you before doing anything else.

Occasions and customs in Hatay

Hatay is known for several faiths living side by side, so the calendar of reasons to send flowers is a long one: bayram visits at Ramazan and Kurban Bayramı, Christmas and Easter for the Christian communities of Antakya and Samandağ, engagements and weddings in the summer months, and Mother's Day in May.

Hospital visits are common too, especially in Antakya and Iskenderun. Our get-well-soon flowers are handed to the hospital's reception or information desk with the patient's name and ward. Intensive-care units generally do not accept flowers, so a delivery to the home after discharge is often the kinder choice.

For many families, 6 February is now a day of remembrance. If you want to send sympathy flowers to a home or a memorial gathering, keep the card message short and personal. Our guide to condolence flowers in Türkiye explains what is appropriate for funerals, mevlit and remembrance days.

Planning around distance

In the central neighbourhoods of Antakya, Defne and Iskenderun, orders placed before 14:00 Türkiye time can usually be delivered the same day. Mountain villages around Yayladağı and Hassa, or addresses close to the border, may need until the next delivery day, so order a day ahead when the date matters.
