Send Flowers to Turkey from Dubai & the UAE: A Guide

Send Flowers to Turkey from Dubai & the UAE: A Guide

The UAE is home to people from almost every country, and a surprising number of them have someone in Türkiye. Turkish engineers, doctors and hospitality staff working in Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah keep close ties with family back home. Expats of many nationalities own holiday flats on the Turkish Riviera or have friends there, and many Emirati and Gulf families spend their summers in Istanbul, Bursa, Sapanca or the green highlands above Trabzon. Whatever your link, sending flowers to Turkey from the UAE is one of the easiest routes there is: only one hour of time difference and no clock changes. The details that do need attention are the weekend, the Mother's Day date, Bayram timing and Turkish addresses. The general ordering steps are in how to send flowers to Turkey from abroad.

Nothing is flown in

Your bouquet doesn't leave the UAE, because it never starts there. You order online, a local florist close to your recipient hand-ties it and delivers it in person, and you receive a photo of the delivery by email and WhatsApp. No customs, no air freight, no flowers wilting in a cargo hold. We deliver to all 81 provinces of Türkiye, down to neighbourhood (mahalle) and village (köy) level.

The cut-off: 3 p.m. UAE time, all year

Orders placed before 2:00 p.m. Türkiye time are delivered the same day in the major cities; deliveries to remote villages may take until the next day. Türkiye is on UTC+3 and the UAE on UTC+4, and neither country uses daylight saving time. So the gap is always exactly one hour, and the same-day cut-off is 3:00 p.m. in Dubai, Abu Dhabi and every other emirate, summer and winter alike.

That makes same-day delivery very easy to plan: order during your lunch break and the bouquet can be at the door that afternoon or evening. If you'd like a time slot, they're set in Türkiye time; in UAE time they are:

  • Morning: 10:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m. (9 a.m.–1 p.m. in Türkiye)
  • Afternoon: 2:00–7:00 p.m. (1–6 p.m. in Türkiye)
  • Evening: 7:00–10:00 p.m. (6–9 p.m. in Türkiye), with a surcharge shown before you pay

The weekends don't match

For most people in the UAE the weekend is now Saturday and Sunday. In Türkiye, Saturday is a delivery day but Sunday isn't. An order placed before 3:00 p.m. on Saturday can still arrive the same day; anything after that, and anything you order on Sunday, goes out on Monday. Friday is a full working day in Türkiye, so Friday deliveries are completely normal.

There are no deliveries on Turkish public holidays: 1 January, 23 April, 1 May, 19 May, 15 July, 30 August, 29 October and the Bayram days. UAE National Day on 2 December, by contrast, is an ordinary delivery day in Türkiye unless it falls on a Sunday.

Bayram dates can differ by a day

Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha are celebrated in both countries, as Ramazan Bayramı and Kurban Bayramı in Türkiye. Türkiye fixes its Bayram dates in advance by astronomical calculation, while the UAE confirms them after the moon-sighting committee meets, so the first day of Eid can occasionally differ by one day between the two countries. As there are no deliveries on the Bayram holidays in Türkiye, the safest choice is to have your Eid flowers delivered on one of the days before. Order a few days early: those are some of the busiest days of the year for Turkish florists.

Paying with a UAE card

Prices on the site can be shown as an approximate amount in your chosen currency, but your card is charged in Turkish lira (TRY).

  • Visa or Mastercard. Credit and debit cards issued by UAE banks normally work.
  • Foreign currency fees. Many UAE cards add a fee on payments in a foreign currency or to a merchant abroad. Check your bank's fee schedule if you send flowers to Türkiye often.
  • Your bank does the conversion. The lira amount is converted to dirhams at your card issuer's rate, so your statement can differ slightly from the estimate you saw.
  • 3-D Secure. You'll confirm the payment with a one-time code by SMS or in your banking app. If the bank blocks a payment abroad, approve it and try again.

For every element of the price, see how much it costs to send flowers to Turkey.

Mother's Day: 21 March or May?

This is the date UAE senders most often get wrong. In the UAE, as in much of the Arab world, Mother's Day is on 21 March. In Türkiye, Anneler Günü is the second Sunday of May (9 May in 2027). If your mother or mother-in-law lives in Türkiye, a bouquet in March will be a lovely surprise, but May is when everyone around her celebrates. Many families simply do both.

As we don't deliver on Sundays, Mother's Day flowers in Türkiye arrive on Saturday 8 May 2027. In 2027, 21 March is also a Sunday, so for the UAE date choose Saturday 20 or Monday 22 March.

Other occasions

  • Valentine's Day: 14 February 2027 is a Sunday; choose Saturday the 13th or Monday the 15th.
  • Father's Day: the UAE marks it on 21 June, Türkiye on the third Sunday of June, so the dates are close but rarely identical. Flowers for the Turkish date arrive on the Saturday.
  • Birthdays and anniversaries: see our birthday flowers, or a VIP bouquet for a big moment.
  • New baby: in Türkiye, relatives and friends visit the new parents with gifts; a new baby bouquet lets you join in.
  • Get well: hospitals are a common destination; include the ward and room number.
  • Teachers' Day: 24 November is a much-loved Turkish tradition.
  • Condolences: Turkish funerals usually take place within a day. Read condolence flowers in Turkey first.

Some colours and numbers carry particular meanings in Türkiye; our guide to Turkish flower etiquette explains them.

Hotels, summer homes and highlands

If your recipient is staying in a hotel, the bouquet is handed over at reception. Write the hotel name, the guest's name exactly as on the booking, the room number if you know it, and a phone number. For a rented villa or a summer house, add the villa or complex name, the neighbourhood and a landmark.

The highland villages above Trabzon, around Çaykara and Uzungöl, are beautiful but remote, with long mountain roads. For addresses like these, order a day ahead so the florist has comfortable time for the drive; if a location turns out to be hard to reach, we contact you.

Where your flowers can go

Senders in the UAE often choose Istanbul, Ankara, Antalya and Alanya, Bursa, Sapanca and Trabzon, as well as family home towns across Anatolia. Search any province, district or neighbourhood on our delivery areas page; you can type without Turkish characters.

From landmarks to mahalle: writing a Turkish address

In the UAE, people often describe a location by building name, area and nearby landmark. Türkiye uses a structured address that runs from large to small:

  1. İl (province), e.g. Istanbul
  2. İlçe (district), e.g. Beşiktaş. The delivery fee depends on the district and appears in the cart before you pay.
  3. Mahalle (neighbourhood) or köy (village)
  4. Cadde or sokak (street), building number and daire (apartment number)

Gated apartment complexes are called site; add the name and block. A landmark is still welcome, especially in villages, but it complements the address rather than replacing it. Add the recipient's mobile number in the format +90 5XX XXX XX XX. Dates are written day first, with dots: 08.05.2027 is 8 May.

Card message: Turkish phrases for every occasion

Your card can hold up to 300 characters. Write in English and we can add a hand-written Turkish translation free of charge. If you'd like to write a line in Turkish yourself:

  • Bayramınız mübarek olsun. – Eid Mubarak (literally: may your Bayram be blessed).
  • Anneler Günün kutlu olsun, anneciğim. – Happy Mother's Day, Mum.
  • Allah şifa versin. – May God grant you a quick recovery.
  • Gözünüz aydın! – Congratulations (on a new baby or happy news).
  • Hayırlı olsun! – Congratulations (on a new home, job or engagement).
