Flower Delivery in Samsun, Türkiye — Same-Day from Abroad

Where flowers go in Samsun

Orders to Samsun cluster around two addresses. The first is İlkadım, the historic centre with Saathane Square, the bazaar streets and the older neighbourhoods where many parents of people living abroad still live. The second is Atakum, stretching west along the coast. With its newer apartment complexes, a seafront that fills up every summer and the Ondokuz Mayıs University campus at Kurupelit, Atakum is home to young families and students alike, so birthdays, romantic bouquets and graduations keep florists busy there.

To the east, Canik and Tekkeköy run straight on from the city. Beyond them lie the province's two great plains: the Kızılırmak delta around Bafra and the Yeşilırmak plain around Çarşamba. Both towns are known across Türkiye for their pide, and both sent many families to the big cities and abroad. A good share of orders from overseas ends up in a family house in one of their villages.

Practical delivery notes for Samsun

• Seafront complexes in Atakum. Most residences along the coast have a security desk. Give the complex name, block and flat number, plus the recipient's mobile so security can let them know.
• Villages on the plains. Around Bafra, Çarşamba and Terme, houses are often scattered between fields and hazelnut orchards. Add a landmark to the village and neighbourhood name: the mosque, the school or the village tea house. Remote villages may get their delivery the next day, and if the address can't be reached we contact you.
• Hospitals. At large hospitals such as the university hospital in Kurupelit, flowers usually go to the information desk or to a relative on the ward. Include the patient's name, ward and room; intensive care units generally don't accept flowers.
• Thermal hotels in Havza. If an older relative is taking the waters in Havza, delivery goes to hotel reception. Add the guest's name and room number.

Samsun's calendar

19 May has a special place here: Atatürk landed in Samsun on 19 May 1919, and the city marks the Commemoration of Atatürk, Youth and Sports Day with particular enthusiasm. May is also the month of Turkish Mother's Day, held on the second Sunday; as we don't deliver on Sundays, order for the Saturday.

As in other Black Sea towns, family visits peak during bayram. When you can't be there, a bouquet for your parents on the eve of the holiday, get well soon flowers for someone in hospital, or roses for a partner are the orders we see most often in Samsun.

If you're in the UK, our guide to sending flowers to Turkey from the UK covers timing and payment. The delivery fee for each district appears in the basket before checkout, and in the central districts orders placed before 14:00 Türkiye time arrive the same day.
